Hi all , i need abit of advice , or just a point in the right direction.
Im deffinatly going in for my test , but i dont know if i should sell my rs and get a 250 or a 400 , or pass my test and still ride my 125 ,

But if i ride my 125 id do it up along the line i.e single seat unit , race exhaust system , performance air filter *ETC, then while im doing this save up for a new bike next summer then maybe turn my rs into a trackday bike and start doing trackdays?

Or just keep it as a spare bike for fun *etc* i just cant decide , i really love my rs but i also feel like getting a new bike .

Hmmm but i also really like the idea of customizing my bike im just not sure

Any tips or advice , i just cant think what to do , theres no rush or anything.

Thanks in advance .
Marc

Go up to a bigger bike.

If you can't afford to upgrade, put your money for "customising" the 125 is a safe place and pretend it isn't there until you can afford to move up to a bigger bike.

Spending cash on tuning a 125 is a silly thing to do, you drop its resale value and waste cash on parts that will make little if any positive difference to the performance.

If you do the terribly predictable route of buying a sports 400 or 600 then you can do trackdays on that a lot better than on an RS125.

Yea go for a bigger bike if possible, how long have you had your RS? nothing wrong with the RS but I hear if you put down money on mods and tart it all up, its meant to be harder to sell than a stock version.

The only reason why I got my gixxer was due to the fact I could'nt be assed to fork out £1500 to sort the engine out after just spending hundreds on parts for it.

But yea think about it alittle more and im sure you will soon enough have your mind set on something.

I agree with this.. if you are gonna keep the rs125 then get it derestricted to ful power and then put money away. when you come to sell it they are easy enough to re-restrict or if you keep the restriction certificate someone will buy it off you.

I was looking into modding my xtc but instead am gonna pass my test an buy a zxr or a bandit 6.. (different styles but i like both)
