Replace the gold with silver and then thats a lush ride.

I think the gold looks a bit "blingy / tacky" on that bike.

They might be pricey exotica, and might offer a performance increase, but they look terrible - black and gold? Very 1980's Thumbs Down

2nd one looks a lot more likely. I doubt a "basic" R1 model would come with Marchahaha (whatever Smile ) wheels, and Ohlins forks.

that futuristic looking "R1" is absolutely munting! looks like its been blended with a BMW K1200 R.

I truly hope thats not what they are gonna make.......its awful. Thumbs Down

For the black and gold one, dont yamaha own Ohlins? I was under the impression they just didnt use the stuff as it was too expensive to put on a production bike. Thinking

The black and gold one will be the R1 'SP' - a limited run. No doubt it will cost somewhere around the same as a small pacific island.

That cant be the design for the 2006 r1, firestly it looks like it was drawn by a 3 years old, secondly it blows.

The top drawing looks like a 2004 will modified bits and bobs.

black and gold how ever is class (as long as way more black then gold)

What's going on with modern day motorcycle design?

I'm still a fan of the 2002/03 R1, don't think it's been bettered yet.
