On the 15th of september I will be taking part in a commuter challenge from Vauxhall Station to Brixton Town Hall. I'll be the motorbike but there will be a scooter, bus, car share, cycle, walk, skate (board and in line).

So I want to win to prove that motorcycling is the way forward. There will be local London press involved so any one want to sponsor me all monies raised, if any, go to riders for health. Willing to be an advert whore for anyone who donates to the charity and provides the stickers for the bike or my clothing. Riders for Health have me wearing a t-shirt so everywhere else is fair game.

Thanks for your time and help.

Sounds like a cool event! Wish you the best of luck man, i dare say it will be between you, the scooter and the bicycle, so play dirty and let their tyres down first lol Thumbs Up Smile

The scoot should win really, since its got all the advantages of the bike, but it can fit through smaller gaps in traffic and its quicker off the line.

Best of luck though!

Don't think I've seen a scooter quicker of the line than my bike. The lack of clutch seems to make them very slow compared to any real bike.

I thought the lack of clutch meant that you couldn't stall it, just open the throttle to full and go! (I think you are unlikely to flip a moped too, which is what you would probably get if you tried to do that on a decent bike!)
