 |
|
Since learning to get my knee down, I've had moments on my bike when I've been wearing my 2-piece leathers which don't have sliders, and been in a position where I'd have liked to put my knee down but couldn't.
I'd been musing over the idea of buying a new set of leather trousers with a velcro patch on them, but decided that I'd try the stick-on pads you can get first to see if they're OK.
I bought a set of stick-on velcro pads yesterday, and a set of sparkie sliders in the St. George's cross patern. Stuck them on and went for a spin today. They worked a treat, stuck to my leathers really well, and the sparkie sliders are ace!
However, I'm now beginning to think that I should get some stitching done round the edge of the patch to make sure they don't peel off if the glue gets old or dissolves in the rain or something?
Anybody else used these stick-on patches for sliders? ____________________ <Simple> no I'm shaven Jon

How often does "Mrs. Sensible" get her knee down then? ____________________ - Yeah, you know the type, loud as a motorbike, wouldn't bust a grape in a fruit fight.

Dude dude dude, if you think that was a head-biting you really don't want to get in any proper arguments on here. |

Very true. Then again I'm quite a sensitive soul. Have been reading G's racsim thread too much today, and am a little on the thoughtful/defensive side of things..... I also possibly don't meet the age requirement for most of the arguments on here, what with being over 12.....
To quickly reverse this thread hi-jack......
Suzuki, know a few people who've had the "stick-ons", and not known anyone resort to needle-and-thread yet. So I'll second Bendy's affirmation of their stickyness. ____________________ - Yeah, you know the type, loud as a motorbike, wouldn't bust a grape in a fruit fight.

Where can you get these "stick on things" from? As I'm getting bored of having to keep reapplying gaffa tape to sliders. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Old Thread Alert!
