So has anyone ever done it (stupid question) and especially to a ZX6R??

Was talking with my mate last night, I'm owed some money so its crash bungs and new C&S so was thinking -1 at the front, +2 at the rear. Does that sound about right?

Will it affect my speedo at all? I don't want it running off or the mileage clocking up if it doesn't run off the front wheel.
Can anyone confirm this?

Just some trivial Q's before I do it, oh and does it make wheelies any easier??? Laughing

Thanks Thumbs Up

It will make a massive difference, easily power wheelie in second. Twisted Evil

Speedo will be out 5% i believe as the speedo is done by the sprocket. You can buy an electronic adjuster off ebay for not alot.

I would say do it. Twisted Evil Thumbs Up

Electronic adjuster?

How much, how does it work and how easy or how much to pay someone to fit it?

A guy over at MCNNinjas had -1 + 3 and said it was fookin looney and not suitable for the road...

I'm really tempted Drooling Not bragging or being an idiot but the acceleration doesn't catch me out no more so wanting some WOW factor back and I've started popping wheelies again (I know I shouldn't practice) but what the hell.... Laughing

I'd go -2/+2 - which is similar to -1 / +5.

Bike's are supposed to be 'loony' Smile.

It can start to make first gear a bit redundant - but it's nice to know that you're acceleration is controlled by how high your front is up, not what rpm you are at Smile.

That was what I did on mine and it was used quite happily on the roads. Smile

I adjust the gearing for the circuit.

So far I've just nabbed gearing ratios from other people's guides.

Generally, you want to adjust gearing so that you just top out on a straight, but on some tracks you may find that it's better to gear for the exit on some corners - so that the power comes in at the right position or so that a fast corner can be taken in the correct gear.

Ah fug it -1 + 2 should be enough, I take it companies supply the correct chain size for the sprockets if you tell them the make, model and sprocket change size?

I'm wanting a new gold chain, my last Kwak had a lovely Gold DID chain.
