quality editing pops ... bitrate was a bit high - I think you'd have got away with a lot less for the size of the image - around 500kbps would be ideal for that size without sacrificing detail ...

boring camera angles (why not get down on the floor at the road side, will look much more interesting) Or be in places where your not over exposing or at least focus the thing.

I'm with Yoko on this one to be honest.

It's all very well saying, "If you don't want people opinions, then don't post it up." But I think there is a thin line between an opinion and just being plain rude and abusive.

Saying things like, "I think you should try and get better angles." or "I would prefer to just hear the bike with no music." They are opinions which would help the person responsible for the video to improve on it next time.

Saying things like, "Your video is shit." or "The riding was dull as fuck" is just being abusive. As he said, its an old 125 which is hardly going to be pulling 12 O'Clocks and shockingly fast fly bys.

I enjoyed watching them and I know I wouldn't be able to edit my own bike movie let alone be bothered to go out and record some stuff.

Fair play lads.

I have to say I agree with Yokogeri, I think at the end of the day Scott & Ross are looking for CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.

People have got to start from some where, and will only learn from experience, so comments like it's boring/ it's crap are not helpful, whereas comments like, for example don't bother with the music, content could be improved on by such and such, try this next time are a lot more helpful!

The camera should definitely be closer to the bikes as they go past. In general you guys wanna go for angles that you're not so likely to see in real life. Everybody has seen countless bikes riding past in their day to day lives, many at speed. Watching it on film adds nothing to the experience Confused

Find some cool scenery, interesting curves, put the camera anywhere but at eye-level, experiment with zoom, add some brief onboard shots, etc, and try to match music that's appropriate to the movie's atmosphere and shot make-up. Sketch some storyboards out just to get the creative juices flowing.
