I was up the cat n fiddle today for the first time on the zxr, and the first time since passing me test. One thing ive noticed is that I cant corner for shit on the zxr, on the tight twisty corners.
I used to be able to fine when i was riding me rs125 but suddenly its all gone to pieces. Its all on the brakes then accelerate out.
Is it that im not used to the zxr yet ( only covered about 100 miles on it)????????

any suggesstions on how to improve welcome Thumbs Up

cheers
tom

I was the same on my 50 to 125, rode the 125 slower round the corners than the 50 (and the 50 only done 37!) for a few weeks. After a few weeks you will have confidence built up and be keeping up with the best of them.

Practice practice practice.

I went from a CG125 to an SV650s and it took some getting used to.

Just put in the miles and gradually get used to it. Everyone's got to get used to a new bike and it takes varying amounts of time for a rider to acclimatise. Ride down roads you know and see how the bike reacts/you react to a common variant.

Plus it's good fun doing so.

yeah had the same problem when i went to the ninja from the diversion. i was crap even posted a thread like this one on here, and cornering wrongly led me to bin it at low speed! Sick
but practice is what you need, get on your bike and within a few hundred more miles you will feel better for it! Thumbs Up
As for Mr C's suggestion FUCKING DO IT did my first trackday yesterday at silverstone and after the third session i was told i was riding like a man determined to lowside Laughing
been on the road last night and today and everything much looser in a good way i am more relaxed and know more about how my bike will react to things i do to it, get the pennies together and its well worth it, will show you what you and your bike can do! Thumbs Up

I'll third that suggestion, gives you plenty of opportunity for learning how to corner quickly in a relatively safe environment.
