Sounds to me like the reticfier/regulator unit has blown.

Could well be wrong though.

On the ZZR it's located inside the left hand seat panel Thumbs Up

Hi

Neutral light coming on? I would first check out the various cut outs which are designed to stop you riding off with the stand down. Side stand switch, neutral switch and clutch switch.

Unlikely to be the regulator / rectifier as this just effects charging and as it is cranking over fine it sounds like it has charged the battery.

All the best

Keith

Hi

I would doubt the fuel lights would be the issue (see no reason to combine them with the ignition circuit).

Is the neutral light coming on?

All the best

hi yes the neutral light comes on and change gear goes off.

is there a an engine cut off if theres no fuel??

in the manual theres also a rectifier or sumit thats connected to the fuel sensor and its under the left front fairing near the mirror inside ,does anyone know what it does it does say check it i will do that tomorrow as its monsoon day.

i dont know bloody nightmare, sumit somewhere is cutting the ignition causeing it not to spark ,must be something to do with this flashy fuel light problem.

also checked all fuses, but thats the strange thing everything works lights indicators turns over ,weird is the word.

lol im going to give my bike the big finger

Hi

The rectifier is normally combined with the regulator and turns high AC voltage to ~12V DC for the bikes electrical system. Highly unlikely it would stop the bike running (although it will let the battery go flat quickly), but can think of no reason why it would be connected to the fuel level sensor circuit either.

There are commonly cut outs to stop the bike being ridden with the side stand down. Normally these will cut the ignition it the bike is put into gear with the stand down. Check the switch by the side stand, although normally these stop the starter motor working as well.

All the best

Keith
