if you do something like "CBT requirements" in google, you'll find everything there is to a CBT.
It's actually really easy. As has already been said - training not a test. Just enjoy it

Listen to the instructors, do as they say, watch them right out your certificate! Really really simple!
I can't even start to explain to you how simple it is! As long as you have good ears and can listen and do as they say, then your laughing! This is more a test of following orders than bike handling skills. Many people I see passing are down right dangerous in my mind, but they pass with no trouble! You'll be fine! ____________________ TL1000R Parts For Sale! |

They take into account that it's most poeples first time on a bike. You're less likely to pass if it's your first time with gears, but not unfeasible.
Easy stuff, if you can't pass it, you shouldn't be on the roads. (Take that as you wish. )
Good luck buddy. |

I never got on a bike before, let alone used gears and I passed it fine!
Try and get a session where you're alone with the instructor, I found this of great benefit. |

I passed my CBT last wednesday and found it very enjoyable. Thats the key, dont get stressed if you dont pick something up instantly, just enjoy it.
I was 1 of 3 people taking the CBT, 1 guy had riden a moped for over 12 years, another teenage girl had been on a few rides as her dad was into bikes, but i had never ridden anything with an engine before the day. Even so, i was the only one who made it out on the road and eventually passed on the same day.
It is very easy if you listen to all instructions, although be aware that there is the chance you wont pass it in one day, but the company i was with said that you can come back as many times as needed all without having to pay again.
So long as your confident and willing to learn, you shouldnt have any problems.
BEST OF LUCK TO YOU PAL You'll be fine
P.S. I cant tell from you lil avitar, but is that a CG125? or possibly a Kymco Pulsar? (i just got myself a 2003 Kymco Pulsar for £700 and lovin it already!) |

You'll be fine either way, I got through it without ever going on a bike before. If you have been practicing clutch control/gears somewhere then that will set you up nicely but it isnt at all nessecary. You'll be fine.
Hope for good weather, It wasnt very nice doing mine in the rain.
Best of luck |

Hello, Unlike most members i've never ridden a geared bike nor a car & i didn't know anything, 1st day i couldn't even get going & was getting peed off, after the 2nd day i was on the road & cmpleted my cbt without stalling once Just listen to what he says and enjoy it, When you get nervous you find you won't be able to remember things and pause but good luck, I've had mine the last 2 days & it's been so hot i want it to rain a bit
