Right there is a CG125 going for £1100, 2002, 4500 miles, its a trade price from a dealer, good condition bike etc, is it much of a bargain?

It is straight off a dealer for his trade price so I'm not sure if he will negotiate Confused

I had an 04 CG...3,500 miles.. got 1,200 off a dealer for it.
I could have got 1,400 privately.

As a dealer sell...
the mileage is very good, as long as the condition IS good then I would haggle for £900-1000 if you can.
Any save is better than none at all.
Helps pay the insurance Wink
(I got 200 off my bike at a dealers. He claimed it was the price he bought the bike at) Okkkk.... Wink

Try and find some fault with the bike.
Always works if you can.

Check the chain, tyres, sprockets, if they look worn they'll need newuns, they are cheap, but you might get some new ones fitted free?

IMO your better of looking for a slightly older one, 95 or so, it will be £500 or so probably, less tidy but you'll not have to worry about depreciation (or droping/scratching stuff)..

I got a 51 plate CG for £675

It had been Cat D , but repaired, ie the clocks showed about 20,000 when the engine had done about 4K

Passed test, cleaned her up, sold for profit. Thumbs Up
