for the rs125 i aint sure what mod to get done next i really should be getting my test over with, but meh another time i think! i did wanna get a pro racing cdi box (there red and come with this really cool switch up means high power, and low means low power for when its wet) that sounds good but its very $$$$

so any thoughts to what might be a good mod to do next?

(and i dont want no smart ass answer like get your test done, or spend it on spelling lessons) because i've heard them all trust me!

Race cdi's are no good without a 34mm carb unless they are reprogrammed to suit. Your best bet is a V-force 3 reed valve, they are pretty good. Smile

I could be really esoteric and say simply "Do one and find out..." but I'm not.

You learn a lot about riding the bike on a trackday. What is the point of modding your bike to death (and lets face it, an RS125 is not exactly reliable without loads of bolt on stuff) when the rider is the major bottleneck in the whole "How fast you can ride" equation?

99% of this forum would agree that a better rider on a standard RS125 would go faster... so why debate it?

The best mod you can make to a bike (nowadays without hinged frames and girder forks) is to improve the rider. Karma

Whatever he does to the RS isn't going to made it powerful enough to require new brakes, to a certain extent.

Think of the 600... Wink

Exactly!

Just consider this: You love the 125, that's what putting you off taking your test? Just think how much more power you get out of a 4/600.

Or anodize something? I dunno! Smile

How much you want to spend? You prepared to drop the engine out and send it off?

Hows about a bit of gas-flowing, stroking and porting? 140cc conversion?

if you like the 125 stay with it 600s will be worse on petrol, heavier and probably not that fun either as you will be restricted to 33bhp and everyone else has an r6 or gsxr!
