Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but there's a charity event I've been asked to promote here for the "Jenny Brereton Intensive Care Appeal". Jenny was a biker who very tragically lost her life - this charity aims to generate funding for the ICU that looked after her as it was pretty badly underfunded.

Here are the details of the event, a contact number and the flyer. Thanks for reading and hope you can make it Thumbs Up

Chris

The trust was originally set up in the summer of 2001 after Jenny's tragic death. Whilst Jenny was fighting for her life in the ICU we saw how under resourced the unit was. The NHS is financially stretched, thus we set out to raise £20,000- one pound for every year of Jenny's life for ICU. Twelve months later we had raised over £22,000 and created the 'Jenny Brereton Suite'. I must add that Jenny received the most wonderful, dedicated care a parent could wish for their daughter, from all those in A&E and ICU staff at Arrowe Park Hospital.

Our aim is to raise money and offer support in either goods or money (if a larger piece of equipment is being saved for), to an appropriate cause ie. £2500 was sent to Claire House (a local hospice for young
people) in aid of the teenagers new unit, £1000 went to a special needs school to purchase a special walking frame for a child who could not stand previously unsupported, let alone walk, etc. We as a family believe that is what Jenny would have wanted.

Jenny was the most lovable kind-hearted person you would ever want to meet. Jenny loved to go everywhere on her motorbike, and thankfully made many friends, who to this day stay in contact with me. I was privileged to have had Jenny and will do all I can to keep her trust appeal going

Thank you and kind regards
Yours sincerely
Jacqui Brereton

Maybe, maybe.......

We are currently contemplating an invite from the Quay Vipers MCC to go over to Northern Ireland for their rally that weekend.

However, ferry prices and/or riding times & distances may stop that from happening.

So, if I'm not in NI I may pop along for an hour or so.

WTF is Darkwave though? Confused
