Well p'ssed off!

Came out of school today, in a brilliant mood. Went to go home, got on my bike geared up and started to kick it up. Didn't start first time, hmmmmmmm I think as this is weird. So I sat there for about 5 minutes continually kicking it up, and I thought it would just be water from the earlier rain shower that is causing it.

So I tried bumping it, which got me even further into the land of nowhere, and extremely knackered. So my mate spies me doing this, and he says he will take over, and try to bump it. So off he goes and I shout 'Wait, wait, wait!!'

I had spied that the spark plug cap was off, so I go to try and plug it back on. On closer inspection, I discovered that the spark plug cap had been ripped off, and the fuse unit ( I don't know what it is so I call it that) has been snapped off and ragged from it's usual home. So I came to the conclusion that some little scrote had tried to have away with it while I was inside.

My Dad says that they did try it on because the green wire had been tampered with. I just wanted to see what you all thought on the subject, and what your views on what had happed (e.g. was it attempted theft or not) because I am in the dark.

I have alerted school and they are reviewing school CCTV tapes, but I ain't getting my hopes up as it probably was in a blind spot or something.

The bike is fine Thumbs Up Comment away!!

Could be someone playing a joke on you...
" I know what will be really funny, Lets fuck up someones bike so they can't get home and ruin there whole day "

I can't see someone was trying to steal it as the simple thing would of been chuck it into the back of a van and do the "hot wiring" in a garaged safely away from watchful eyes.

Unless it was a schoolboy just out for a joyride.

Bad luck, just be glad they didn't get away with the bike, and hope they don't get away with the crime.

That sucks! guaranteed, the culprit was dressed head to toe in a lacoste tracksuit, tucked into socks of course, a burberry hat perched on the back of their head, and no matter where you live, they'll have a scouse accent (why on earth do people force scouse accents!?). Either that or it was a weasel Shocked

I ain't off to school tomorrow, and unfortunatly it is the safest place Sad the CCTV can identify a general age group and school will take the action to ensure it won't happen again. Hopefully.

And thanks for the advice, I won't be skipping on safety from now on! Thumbs Up Karma

Something like that happened to my NRG at college. They popped open the side grilles, reached inside the front fairing and completely removed the wiring loom from the ignition. consequently, everytime i turned off the immobiliser, and try to switch the engine on, it would do so, but then it cuts out after 5 seconds. Bunch of arseholes.

I complained to the dep head of the college and he did fuck all. Even though i knew what the problem was back then, it took ages for me to discover it was the ignition loom disconnected out of its socket.

Usually in cases like these, it's some daft chav trying to have it off on your bike. The go for your bike cos it's the furthest away from the CCTV and or in a blindspot. I did see a couple of rather suspicious, non-intellectual looking chumps in full adidas gear and lids balanced on their heads during that day so could have been them.

I know how you feel and despite having adequate security, all it takes is some cunt with itchy fingers to spoil your day.

Couldn't agree more to be honest. I hate people like that, with no respect for things that you have worked hard for, they think they can just claim it off you and get away with it. Well to those people, I say a nice blunt

' F*ck you '

Because if someone did I would hunt them down. I think it was a theft attempt, but they f*cked it up because they had no idea what they were doing. And then scattered without putting the cap back on. Dumb sh1ts! Middle Finger Twisted Evil

This kid I new back in school used to brag about how he would push motorbikes over, I told him what a cunt he was but that probly didn't stop him, some people are so horrible it boggles the mind.

This is why I'll invest in a nice alarm when I get the big bike. Not just for insurance purposes, I want to make sure anyone who tries to fuck around with it is seen and identified, so I can personally and royally fuck them up.

Tip, Don't go for a cheap alarm, I went for one which was shit, it cost me £50 as well. Go for the ones where you have to let the alarm manufactorer actually fit it, its a pain in the arse and involves loosing ur bike for a week or so but beats getting it stolen Wink

I plan to get a Meta or somthing, invest a couple of hundred in it. I bet the insurer didn't recognise the cheap one, either?

my brother at college had his bike taken out of the car park, what made me laugh is that he actually had to pay money to use the car park per term, as they employed security staff.

Someone managed to push his ped out, with the front wheel lock on and "no one saw a thing". Id have been tempted to sue them!

By the way a joke that some people at my college used to do was just disconnect the HT lead from the spark plug just for a laugh (nothing mallicious, they were mates on bikes Razz )

Luckily my ZXR has a fairing stopping them doing it, a mate on a Varadero wasn't so lucky Razz Sounded rough hearing a 125 twin firing on one Mr. Green

Don't rule out that it may be vandalism, but also it may be a mate just having a laugh.

I had the HT lead taken off my MZ 125 once.

Guess it was just 'funny' wankers.

The guys at college used to do the to me with the HT leads bit, the problem being the only thing you had to do on my Metro was whack the bonnet to open it.

I was very tempted to pop the bonnet on one persistant offenders car and swap the HT leads around, slightly change the firing order a bit, but I decided it was better to goto the hunting supplies shop and get some simulated fox urine and spray it in his air vents! Very Happy
