Being the pedantic sod that i am, i'm just wondering if you were to bid on that item and win, would you be able to take action against them when the CG125 didn't do 200mph?
And before an even more pedantic sod mentions it, i might just have a jet licence. Smile

I want it.

If they say it will do 200mph then I believe them.

I doubt it. The law recognises that a claim can be so totally rediculous, no-one could reasonably be expected to believe it as true.

If it wasn't for this, the Viz magazine would have been sued out of existance many years ago. They were most recently sued for liable by Trinny and Suzannah off the TV for their "Trinny and Suzannah. School bullies" comic strip. The case was thrown out of court. It is when they get too close to the truth that they run into bother, wildly innaccurate and over the top is no problem.

Looking at the whole thing, it looks like he knows hes selling a wank bike so made a fun auction.

It's just possible he missed the 1 and hit the 2? Not that it will do 100 anyway!

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't there a 50cc land speed record of 200kmh plus? Therefore a 125 doing that sort of speed isn't too much of a stretch of the imagination.
Seriously though, with the addition of a streamlined fairing and a large amount of engine fettling(Turbos and nitrous) i reckon a CG125 could see 200mph.

Or you could drop it out of a plane, then do some 'stunts' while skydiving.

Not sure what the terminal speed of a CG is, but if you've got it head on into the wind I expect it'd be over 200mph Smile.

A good few years ago, performance bikes magazine fitted nitrous to a CG125. It hit 85mph then threw a push rod out the bottom of the engine as I recall.

If you ride off a cliff...

I think the most logical way of getting a CG125 to do 200mph is to tie it to a plane.

The worst thing about a wheelie is the landing. When you see some peple and it hits hard. Although stopies are worst for this. Rolling Eyes

Possibly if it's on a trailer being towed by a Ferrari. You don't see too many Ferraris with towbars though.

It's not such an unreasonable claim, after all there are bikes that will do 200mph plus, and most people don't know a CG125 from a nitrous, turbo'ed Hayabusa, so if they don't know anything about bikes they could think it is true.

Maybe? Or I'm talking crap?
