I have 1st time luggage, from the 2004 range. Feel free to try them out buddy, you can have mine for a tenner if you want! I got mine in the all-in-one deal for £60 on ebay last year.
They're the same as mark's ones he had on his zzr. They have the removeable covers for them.
If all goes well, I'll have an sv and a hornet on thursday

Really Greg, a tenner???
Don't buy an SV, your regret the power lose!!
I thought this was a bargain, seems quite cheap for waht you get. Also would the pannier 'deform' with the heat for the can, I think my can would get in the way? ____________________ Old bikes >>> https://www.bikepics.com/members/cc123/ |

Standard height can but it seems to sit high enough to touch the pannier. Will need to check that out. A Euro trip is on the cards for next year 100% and NEED luggage. ____________________ Old bikes >>> https://www.bikepics.com/members/cc123/ |

Loads of traders are flogging oxford 1st time luggage (new) on eBay quite cheap.
Also, if you are worried about the exhaust clearance, then go to your nearest bike shop and ask. They will probably let you try the panniers on your bike, or if not they can probably tell you if it´ll be a problem. In either case, just start seeming unsure whether you really need luggage after all, thank em for your help and say you may come back later after a think, and then make a hasty exit. ____________________ Hard livin', hard luck. |

those oxford panniers definately seem like a bargain to me, I've been noticing them on ebay as well (35 quid with free delivery) and I think I'll be ordering some soon
I think they have a heat resistant backing so should be ok even with a high level exhaust... ____________________ "he who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man"- Dr. Johnson |

Hi, i just bought a set of eGay for £29.99, they do the trick very well! Just been to Derbyshire with them on last weekend.
Managed to fit 2 sleeping bags, a blanket, and an airbed in the main compartments, and smalls in the side pockets! They were out all night in a horrific storm with thrashing rain, thunder, lightning etc at the bottom of a valley ( without the rain covers on i might add, purely because i forgot to put them on and didnt wanna go outside at 1am in the storm to fit them ). They clear the can on my GS500 easily, and ive also been told by "Feef" that they clear the can "Just" on his Thunderace. Dont know if thats any use to you.
Just got my an Oxford expandable tank bag from a place in Matlock Bath for £29.99 aswell which i thought was bloody good
(btw, both my panniers and tank bag are Oxford First Time range. ____________________ CBT Aug '03 ... Gilera GSM 50 ... Honda NSR 125 Aug '04 ...
