I dont know much about them, but i think they are a 2 stroke so they will be thirsty, light and nippy through corners. Not necessarily the best 2 stroke 250 (id prefer rs250, rgv250) but shd be gd fun. RS250's in nice condition from year 2000 can go on ebay for about £1000. So dont pay more than that. The FZR is not as powerful.

I'm no expert, so you may know all this already, but im sure someone else will add something more about the bike itself.

Fzr250 is a 4 stoke, not very common here so not as easy to get parts as a 400.

FZR250 is gorgeous, about 40 odd BHP and is a toss up between that and a GPZ500/FZR400 as my next bike Smile

Might have reliability issues though, it's a high revving 4 stroke (I think the red line is at about 19,000 or something) Smile

Lacks top end and doesn't touch any of the 2 stroke 250's I'm afraid. Makes up for it being much more reliable and revvy. Because it needs to rev more to get any power. 2 strokes don't rev as high.

Also consider ZZR250.
