I was out for 100 mile blast yesterday and when I got home I could see the cord coming through the rear tyre
I now need a rear and front tyre that will last me just a bit longer. Has anyone used touring type tyres (020's etc) on their 600 ? ____________________ the undemocratically unelected mod of the Scottish section |

still beat the distance I got out of my Diablo Corsa rear tyre
Try the Pireli Diablo's thats what I went back to and they tend to last about 4-5000 miles and thats with some 'spirited' rides ____________________ Current; 10' Aprilia Dorsoduro 750.

I had a Diablo on the front and it held up really well and gave excelent grip and good feedback. I've still got the Diablo Corsa on the front which is good but too soft for the road and it needs to be kept at a high temp or it just feels off sometimes ____________________ Current; 10' Aprilia Dorsoduro 750.

I got rid of my nasty Michelin Macadam rear and stuck a BT020 in its place.
Good, it is. ____________________ "That's it. You people have stood in my way long enough. I'm going to clown college."

Get a pair of Avon Vipers.
Superb grip in wet and dry, harder wearing than the BT01x's, and if you get a nail through it within 1mm of use, you get a free tyre!!!

I get 5000+ from a rear 010. These are the second set I'm having to get rid of because I've cooked the compound doing trackdays, rather than cos they're actually worn.
Got some Supercorsas going on at the weekend (scrubs), will see how long I can make these allegedly short-lived tyres last. |
