i dont tend to go in for street racing altho ive had some one think they are a bit clever over take me on the right (facing oncoming traffic) when there was a lane he could have undertook in

i was driving swiftly but relaxed

needless to say i gave a smooth chase which involved me blasting past feeling victory

the only other time i was on a bit of a quick ride from work at about 8ish

and had a car full of capped teenagers in a golf full of Tv's and ps2 gubbins pull up beside me and i thought nothing of it as i was immersed in my own traffic light GP, only to have them pull up beside me again making faces out of the windows.

a few seconds later i left them standing and slowed up so they'd reach the light as i did, to have them laugh at me look where it got you not so fast now

i dont think they got it

I had a 15 mile long contest with a Ferrari F40 on an Italian autostrada earlier on this summer.

I'd just got onto the motorway, having only been in Italy for about 5-10 miles. I was just entering a tunnel, cruising at around 85mph, when all of a sudden the F40 roared past in excess of 130mph, the noise reverberating all through the tunnel.

My first thought was 'OMG, WTF was that', then I saw the unmistakeable rear end. By reflex action I cracked the throttle wide open to go after him, only another car pulled out and got in the way. By the time it had pulled in he was out of sight Neutral. Mike on his ZXR400 rolled off, sensibly deciding that attempting to catch up an Italian driven 200mph supercar in it's own territory fully laden 1500 miles from home was not the brightest idea. I had other ideas.

For the next 10 miles I rode absolutely balls out as fast as the bike could go, mostly around 130mph though as the motorway was quite twisty I had to drop down to 100ish for some of the corners.

Every so often I caught a glimpse, it looked unreal so wide and low to the ground compared to other cars. Soon it became clear I was catching him, and cars no longer pulled out on me as much. A race-piped 400cc bike screaming at 14,000rpm whilst doing 130mph isn't exactly covert. The Italians, incidentally, love a good race.

Eventually I caught him, awesome. Heart-pounding by this point, we had a series of roll-on drag races. Every time the traffic moved out of the way, both vehicles were nailed. At one point I was struggling to 135mph while he was blasting off at 160+. The noise from that thing was deafening, it was drowning the VFR out. This he was well aware, and kept changing down multiple gears to rev the tits off his engine through the autostradas' many tunnels. Drooling

During this time I had to switch to reserve as the bike had been drinking it's fuel faster than a pub full of thirsty Irish drinking Guiness post after England. Services popped up and the F40 pulled in as well, the car's open exhausts popping and crackling all down the slip road. As I filled up Claud and Mike arrived, Mike getting this photo:-

The Contest: Sports Day sack race

A close run contest between a rival and I for first place. A good start from us both saw us neck and neck for the first few meters. Soon, due to his unconventional waddling technique with his feet in the corners of the sack, I managed to take the lead with my more traditional bounding approach but then I stumbled. He took the lead with meters to go, but a final push from me allowed to to bring home a victory in the race.
