When running in a engine what is the best way to do it?

I normally do it by going no more than 50-55mph and not over 5-6k i also try as much as possible to take nice twisty roads, so is this the right thing to do or not?

There are differing oppinions. The happy medium seems to be not to thrash it, load the engine (as in pulling up a hill in a high gear) or sit at a constant speed for a long distance for the first 500 miles.

In other words, you want the engine to be pulling freely without labouring and varying the revs for the first bit.
