I have that exact one.

First off: They are NOT a protective motorcycle helmet and will do nothing for you in a crash other than prevent scuffing of your head(if it stays on).

They are made of a single layer of fibreglass with a leather lining. The lining is adjustable so one size fits all, the chin strap is held in place with a hook and catch.

It is a pilots helmet when you come down to it, and is there to protect your face and head from light debris if your cockpit canopy breaks.

They are extremely riteous though, if you buy one I bet you land up wearing it round the house. I am going to be wearing mine on my 100cc bike but in the certain knowledge that it is no use whatsoever as a crash helmet. If a policeman looked at it closely, you would be done, it is not kite-marked.

They do arrive though, and they do come from China.

Did you look at the thing? They are fucking cool Cool

Wear it in your car with the visor down to freak out other motorists, answer the door in it. Very Happy

It actually looks like it would do more damage than good.
The slightest knock and I can see that visor cracking and carving great chunks out of your face.

Looks good though.

You can't say you've not seen the pictures of a guy who ate his handlebars due to an open-faced helmet! Look away i'f you'fe a little sensitive...
https://www.rotten.com/faq/motorcycle-th.jpg

Was going to post the image but decided not to...

Thats why i don't want to buy a flip-up lid, as i'd be tempted to lift it at low speed.

Whoa!, never knew BCF was host to as many twisted people like me who would actually post the link.

It says on rotten that it is most likely a failed shotgun-in-mouth style suicide. Matt Groening must have based Dr Zoidburg(sp?) of futurama on that picture.

the picutre of "the guy witht he detonator in his teeth" and "shotgun suicide failure" and god knows how many other names this comes under is a faked image, you can easily fake these images on a computer with something as little as photoshop (my college tutor can do much more and much worse than that picture too!) Twisted Evil

If it was faked, it was done by someone with more than a passing knowledge of the anatomy of the pharynx. It isn't just gore, it is anatomacally correct gore.

You would be surprised at how little blood there can be from massively gory injuries sometimes. I stitched up a cow that had run into a bale lifting spike the other day. It had a three foot gash through its chest muscles and flank exposing the ribs and there was hardly any blood at all. Took about 150 stitches in three layers to close the wound.
