ideas so far (having them biking related seems difficult)
Universal Rear Bracket to hold Number Plate and indicators to replace the large plastic ones that often come as standard e.g.https://www.metisse.de/gifs/Kennz_halter/Heck%20bl%20tief.jpg instead of
https://www.cmgonline.com/articles/CMG02/bikes/Honda/CBR954RR/BigP/CBR954RR_rear.jpg.
or, a secure money pot which could bolt onto handle bars/other bar to store petrol money (never seen anything like this before), i know i hate going through pockets and wallet to find money when at the pump. Some people with leathers may not have pockets... and if they do, they might not like a heavy haudage of money in their pocket as it's uncomfortable, as is a wallet in a pocket.
Any demand for this? - what you's think?
finally, a bit more advanced, a pair of footpegs which are grippy in wet and look cool, i know i havent seen a wide range of footpegs so there may not be a demand for it but, is there ? |

Auto cancelling indicators? It's only A level! If you could do that, I'd be very impressed.
The money things sound good, although I think the number plate bracket would make a good project. |

Auto cancelling indicators are a pain in the arse. They fitted them to bikes in the 80's which operated on either a time-elapsed or distance travelled basis. I had a bike with them and they are a buggeration.
How about a sports luggage rack that has a set of rails to allow you to bung throwovers on the bike without them touching the side plastics? A stronger design would be useful too, rentec sports racks are only rated up to 2.5kg.
So design brief:
A bolt on luggage rack that protects the side plastics from throwover panniers with enough weight carrying capacity for a standard two man dome tent, a sleeping bag and roll mat. It should fit to pre-existing frame hard points and be as light as possible.
Or if you are more electronics orientated. A retro-fit, four-way hazard light conversion kit. You would need some sort of relay, a repeater light and a switch. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. I made an ignition unit for my GCSE electronics project.
It basically doubled the spark. So it created another spark right after the intial one. Makes it more fuel economic and gives you a bit more kick (haven't tried it out yet). ____________________ 125 trail bike, custom bars, handguards etc. - ?500.

ok, hi again, just like to thank you all on your helpfullness, all been great . Just one more thing though, i've decided to do the project on adjustable suspension linkages, and need some evidence to prove that there's a market for this, so, even if you disagree, could a few of you guys write a comment that i could use as evidence, something along the lines of saying how a strong, reliable, aesthetically pleasing adjustable suspension linkage package is needed, oh, and especially cheap, thanks all . And... something about how you desire a pair of adjustable linkages to make your sportsbike handle just the way you want it would be great too
I'll ignore this message and write another to pretend that your views are all genuine

It needs to be very strong.
How are you proposing to do it? With the shock mounts or with a variable length dog-bone?
It would need to have very small graduations. A small difference in tie-bar length translates to a large difference in ride height if you are going this way about it. Whilst a turnscrew type adjustment would give infinate scope for adjustment, I'm not sure if I'd trust it with those sort of loads.
That leaves you with holes and pins?
EDIT: remember that the tie-bars are unsprung weight so adding a kilo here is like adding three kilos to the rest of the bike.
Incidentally, I do have a use for it, I am fitting 17" front wheel in my bike which has a 21" wheel as standard. I need to drop the back end to correct the steering geometry but I will want to be able to put it back up again when I refit the 21" wheel to go offroad. Currently, I need two sets of dogbones. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

thanks for that.
well i have to propose various ideas, even ones which have no chance of working but i will go for a variable length dog bone which i can adjust for an infinite amount of settings. I'll take your strength issues into account aswell.
oh, and mountain bikes is my other hobby, im well wised up on it used to be on mbuk forum non stop but most people on it are annoying so i found a new home, lol, here. |

Would be very handy for taking pillions. I'm planning on getting an er-6f post-test, and would consider buying an adjustable linkage, as i would be carrying luggage through the week, but removing it come the weekend when i want a wee bit of a blast. As long as pricing was right, and the handligh wasn't ruined, i'd buy one.
