Will training centres let you do a 1 day course? I've not heard of it before. How much is a solid days training likely to cost anyone know? 55 for the test I think I heard, hire of bike, training etc...

When I done my cbt I probably spent half of it by myself leaving the instructor with the other kid (out of site) who couldnt go round a corner without having an eppy at the shock of it all. I felt confident over busy 2/3 lane roundabouts by myself so 1 day will suit me fine if such a thing exists? All the places Ive rang have said they need to see me before advising 2 or 3 days but no mention of a single day training.

money's tight and I'm felling lucky Twisted Evil

I guess it might depend on the type of training you want. I hadn't been on a bike for 23 years since passing my test back in the 80s so before I picked up my new bike, I organised some refresher lessons. I think the instructor went through the same sort of stuff which is done on the CBT and I used one of the training school's bikes. I did two lots of 2 hour lessons on a Sunday and it cost £22.50 per hour.

I also did a one day survival skills rider training course. This was a whole day and cost £95 for the day. This was using my own bike.

id suggest getting one lesson, getting their system sheets etc, learn their methods and practise by yourself. then when you think you are perfect, book a test and have some more lessons. Also ask anyone who has done their test what you need to do. I can post that here if you like.

Dont do what i did and only practise the right way to ride when on a lesson and so pay for every practise. I had 10 lessons when i should have had 3.
