My bro in hospital

Yep you guessed it, one more biker in hospital, this time its Tooeymaster my brother and aparetly he's in a bad way.

His second ride on his moped after passing his cbt on tuesday, so obviously his riding skills were not that good.

Car was overtaking him and for some reason he had to swerve right, hit the curb and ended up impacting a telegraph pole at 30mph (restricted moped) Ive always told him to hold his line and not move over for cars. (this was a 30mph limit road) however he may not have heeded this advice.

Police were on the scene, his helmet was mashed, he has broken a vertebrae, from what i have heard his knee is totally mashed as well. He was in resuscitaion for 5 hours and we dont know if he is going to get any worse.

Ive prayed that he will pull through, im not losing a brother to biking. Let this be a lesson to all low powered bikers. HOLD YOUR ROAD POSITION. DONT MOVE OVER AND GET RUN OFF THE ROAD.

Im away with the Air Force at the moment in Northern Ireland, they have assured me that if his condition becomes in any way life threatening then they will do everything they can to get me home. Except for that ill have to wait.

If he's got the energy left in him to be sarcastic with someone straight after the accident, there's no way you're going to lose him. I hope he gets well soon, and don't let him give up on riding!
