I'm sure they'll report later, still schlepping round the m25 right now.

Mike managed to bin an impressive *twice*, obviously the cosmetic damage from the first off wasn't good enough so he lobbed it down again on the same side and did a better job the second time.

Marcus highsided the R1 and spent most of the day at the local hospital, came back with some impressive x-rays. His bike's alright - just cosmetics. Arm didn't fare quite so well.

Aaah christ, is there something in the air atm?!

Is it a 'bright side' to say 'at least only one of you ended up in hospital'? Confused Laughing

Just got back, I somehow managed to stay on.

It was a good day, minus the crashing parts, I think the people in our garage were the cause of most of the red flags all day!

yeah it was a bit of a messy day all round for the brighton boys. marcus has got his arm in a plaster after fracturing his wrist from the high side, i am fine apart from a few grazes, mullered leathers and a flatten right hand side of my bike! Rolling Eyes
but i i couldn't believe how little damage was done to me or the bike! at the end of the straight i figure i was doing about 140 mph and i appied the brakes far to hard far too soon and loaded the front end far too much and it just went, turfing me off and giving me the experience of sliding on tarmac at 100 mph plus and leaving some of my skin behind in the 200 metres i slid! i ended up stoping and getting to my feet straight away and walked to the side of the track chatting to a marshall!
all in all it could have been a hell of a lot worse!

Jesus Christ Mike Shocked

Bet that shook you up a bit? Must have been kind of fun once you realised that you got up unhurt.

How's the bike?

yeah it was a bit of a shock!
can't say fun is the word! first i was worried about myself as the adrenaline would have been covering up any pain at first, but once i got to the medical centre and they said i was ok i was slightly worried about my bike as one of the medics said that they were having problems moving it! but once i got back to the garage and saw the bike was pretty much ok i was very happy, hence me smiling in the pic!
now comes the task of getting parts to make it ridable again and to sort my leathers out, just got a new raid II so thats no probs

I go to uni for a week and this is what happens!

Did Jay get charged for the use of the recovery truck for running out of fuel?

Whereabouts did you crash WN? I'm getting at the end of one of the straights to be doing ~140mph.

Sounds like you all had fun, everyone seems to be smiling.

Snetterton's fun.

Hi people, Im new to this section so be easy on me Razz

I live in Norfolk and was considering a trackday there sometime next year, but I'm terrified now Confused

Still I really want to put my sportsbike where it belongs on the track for a day or two. Is Snetterton a hard track for a first timer then?

If its all good, I think I'll keep my eye open for a spare set of plastics before I go.

Oh that pit lane brings back memories. Laughing

Snetterton was quite a nice track, just don't change gear on the last long fast corner. Embarassed

No way, do change gear! just make sure it's up and not down.

The whole points of race style gear box is so you can still up in a left hand corner when there's not enough space to get your foot under the lever.

Snett's an easy track for beginners aswell.
