Well i'm coming to you guys and gurls again. This may have already been asked but i didnt find what i wanted in a search.
I've been given some money for my b'day to join a reputable motorbike club. Not knowing anything about bike clubs i thought i would come to you for some advice. I want something where i will get as much back as i put in. Nothing to expensive, but would like it to have an effect on insurance (make it slightly lower), send me bits and pieces, magazines etc, and everything else that a free loading person would want
Anyone got any good ideas of any clubs?
Thanks in advance

What bike do you ride? An owner's club may be the way to go.
Otherwise I would suggest the BMF or MAG, both of which will send you a magazine, and if you use the insurers they have deals with, you will get insurance discounts. Also, a lot of shops will give you a discount if you are a member.

Good place to start if you're looking for reduced insurance would be your local IAM motorcycle 'club'. Other clubs might save you on parts and have someone who's been there, fixed that, improved the other.
There's also MAG with local groups.
You might also want to have a look around for a club for the model (or even type) of bike you own (or want to own - could be a place to get a good 2nd hand one). These can be generic (e.g. Honda Owners Club, Kawasaki GPX/GPZ club, etc.)
There might even be a local bikers club/meeting.
FYI this link from the Carole Nash site is a list of clubs. Some may be of interest.

Cheers.
I ride a ER5 atm, but am looking to get a Gixxer 6 Or R6 in the next few months.
I'll have a look at MAG and BMF.
Cheers for the info.

Theres an advanced riders club around Sutton, I forget what they're called now but you join for £35 and then lessons are free, you get as many as they think you need to pass your test, you then pay the cost of your advanced test and that's it! Pretty damn good I reckon. They also do rideouts etc so it's not all about the lessons |
