 |
|
Bit of an odd one this and sort of in 2 bits. First, does anyone know who does motorcycle training for kids. Or if there are any activity/adventure holiday companies who do this.
The only one I've come across is B.U.M.P.Y. Been there and it is good but it is popular so gets booked up. That means a bit of planning so it can't be a spur of the moment decision to go. The only other thing would be a holiday for next year, as I came across BMW training for kids (but that's in Germany, would prefer UK based to start). I have had a google but from what I gather of kids holidays motorsport is either go karts or quad bikes. Would prefer a recommendation for a place that actually uses motorbikes.
The other problem is as I haven't got my own field if I get the kids an offroad bike (thinking Yamaha PW80 of one of the Kawasaki KX) how do you go about using them. Do I really need to take the plunge and get a trailer and all the other associated stuff (like swapping the sporty car for one with a tow bar ) and find an off road centre?.
Thanks in anticipation of your help ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...

I think the Ron Haslam race school, do a school for 12 year olds and up. I don't know if this is what your looking for, it's only for two hours though.
If you go get the off road bikes, I should imagine borrowing a van may be a way to go, unless you know a generous mate with a tow bar. |

Thanks for the link and info. Looks like a 2 hour track day.
I will let them do something like that when a bit more experienced as it should give more confidence. We're still at the basics stage at the moment so want to make it fun without worring about gears, racing lines, etc.
Any other responses and suggestions appreciated ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...
