It' a brace. All metmachex swinging arms have a single or double brace option. It's supposed to increase rigidity, but people just have it cos it looks trick.

While the subject is up..

I'd actually thought of haveing my swingarm braced (after i get a brace for the front forks), i get the feeling it would benifit as its a prolink and i'd imagine frames have come a long way since, haveing one made would be huge money i'd imageine (£500?)

A brace would be what £200? Is it likely to help much? or would it be pishing into the wind as they say?


Out of morbid curiosity how much would it cost to have a frame made, not copyed, made from scratch?


(10meters from the bottom of my garden used to be spondon frames! now its down the road, shame they weren't still there :/ )

Hi

Suspect unless you are putting serious stress through them the bracing will not do much. Doubt it is the weakest point of the chassis.

Think Spondon frame kits start at around £3000. Really must stop looking at there Bandit frame kits (which are cheaper as they use the original Bandit tank).
