I apologise if this has come up before, but I didn't really know what to search for apart from "quote" in the Feedback, Suggestions & Help, but that didn't bring up anyting. Something similar was Dracan's "Quote Selected Text forum functionality" post, but it's still not quite what I need to know.

How do you paste what someone else has written into a post of your own? You know, where it says "So & so wrote:" and a white box containing their text appears. I have tried cutting and pasting but it doesn't appear in a box.

And another thing, on a separate topic, I have noticed some people writing "bump" or "boing" in their posts. What does this mean?

Bumping is a means of getting your thread up to the top of the page so its brought to the attention of others (its a sad and desperate form of attention seeking, only carried out by scumbags)

Quoting you say? Top right hand side of the persons post. Click on that. You don't have to quote all of it, infact, its best not to, just manually delete any from it that you don't want in your post. Smile

Just make sure it still has the
and
at the end Smile If you click the quote button, it'll show up as it should.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 19 years, 233 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
