Hi, I'm new to the forum, (obviously - the subject does give it away) although I'm crazy about MX. Unfortunately, I've had some injuries this year, including a class 5 shoulder separation and I did the 'tripod' cheek bone racing at Elvetham with SMX.

Right now I'm bikeless! and it drives me nuts. The problem is I can't ride until bones are healed and if the bike's in the garage I'll end up riding it!

Any other riders sat out there just waiting to ride again?

Thanks for that G. I was taken back by the response - people can be so cynical today. I'm a good guy, I just love crossin and so thought I'd do something related whilst I couldn't ride....

Am feeling thoroughly disheartened by the forum right now - thanks for your friendly words anyway....

Surprised to see comments like that ! But it's nice to see how you feel about half the forum users.
There are a lot of first timers who spam the forum, this looked like a typical case.
If Sharrison is not one of these spammers and sticks around he can have my full apology.

Not specifically about this case, but in general. Seems all too often that anyone who's opinion differs from the BCF hive-mind gets shot down without so much as a chance.

I've only rode off road once, I didn't intend to and I don't think a VFR400 was the best choice as an off road tool, I survived though. Laughing

I saw it as a spam post, I couldn't give a toss what others thought of it and I certainly have not swarmed with others to get at anyone on this forum. and I never will.
As I have stated already Sharrison will be due a full apology from me if he does indeed stick around.

I'm guessing you've been riding for a while seen as you know broken bone lingo: I don't tink I want to know what a class 5 separation or a 'tripod' cheekbone is!

Hi byke95

Right now I'm not riding anything, still healing from the cheekbone injury. Basically, the tripod is where the cheekbone connects in all three places - to your nose, the eye socket and the side of your skull - nice ahe! And when you do your acro-mioclavicular, (something like that anyway) they class them dependant on the severaty of your tendon damage. I destroyed mine completely, so it's called a class 5....

I know the local track owners - Ian from Cussers and his sons - they're all really good people. I know Tony, (the infamous TonyMoto) and Karen who runs Matchams so these tend to be my choice of practice track. When you're in a club you race at loads of other tracks

Pictures! - I have to rely on other people to take em, so here's what I have, although they're a bit old now.

Hi, welcome to the forum sorry i missed the earlier down rating, I'm not really into the whole 'spam n flame thing'. I ride a supermoto, only a 125 but it's a start.

It's near Fleet. It's a fast track - I've heard many get caught out by the speed build up on the front jumps....

Hey I don't think you missed much! It's good to talk with more friendly people so thanks for posting.

I haven't tried supermoto myself, although it does look cool. Did you catch the X-Games races with Jeremy McGrath out in his first major competition race since moving away from MX - it was a wicked race.....
