Are their any good places to get these from? Do any websites sell them? Their isn't really that much in my local bike place. I need quite a few (4/5/6 maybe) to fill up me jacket.

I want one with honda on it or a honda logo, I want one with saying cx/gl on it too but unless I can get it custom made I don't think their's much chance of that.

Tempted to get a big one for the back aswell if I can find a design I like but not sure who sells them (hells angels logo I think should do the trick then watch them throw a wobbly over it Cool )

This would make a great back patch design (btw I don't care in the slightest about other bike clubs having an eppy over a non registered back patch because I know how touchy they can be):

I dunno how that would work so anyone know where to get smaller patches from like this in the meantime:

i like that shape/design but I want it saying honda of cx/gl or similar.

If you just want little Honda rockers like in that picture, you can pick them up at pretty much any bike show, just have a look on the stalls at the NEC or try & get to the next Stafford Classic show. For mail order or internet try www.motorcyclegifts.co.uk

I also know someone who makes patches to order and might be able to do a big backpatch for you. Band ones like that can often be found in market stalls and back-street/second hand record shops. However, if you speak to Lemmy re details & prices he might be able to help. lemmy@black-knights.co.uk

Join the Scouts, you will be able to get loads of badges to sew onto your jacket. Failing that, a local swimming club would be able to furnish you with various swimming badges. Stuff the Hells Angels badge, the real hard cases have their 3 width badges on show.

nice one appreciated

I was just thinking actually because the ramones design is so simple i'm sure that could be airbrushed or just painted on with an artists brush. Maybe make a template (thin pvc and a soldering iron).

I just can't find anywhere that says what paint to use on leather. I'm pretty sure acrylic is used but the type of acrylic I use for painting is no-way going to be suitable I wouldn't have thought (just peel off).

cheers

I would stencil it if I was you. Print it onto decent quality paper then cut your design out with a craft knife, stick it on the jacket with masking tape or similar then paint the gaps.

Beware! Ordinary paint will flake off a leather in no time flat.......

Stencils and paint are the traditional punk ways of decorating your black leather jacket... Hence you should seek out old smelly punks for advice on how to get the best finish Thumbs Up

Once saw some guy at a gig in Coventry with the Manowar logo painted on the back of his leather jacket! Can you say \m/ METAL!!! \m/ ? Very Happy Thumbs Up

I just found some leather offcuts from doing my seat and dabbed on a few different paints I had lying about, the acrylic suprisingly looks like it's going to work best (i'll check it tomorrow once it's all dry). It looks as though it's engrained into the leather more than the other paints that just sat on the top. It's a medium viscosity artists acrylic white. I've got dozens of different colours of this stuff if it works.

I always worked with acrylic and a fine brush. The trick is to work the paint on in thin layers, keeps it flexible.

You can get suprisingly deep and longlasting colours.
