cack think i got speed camera'd, from the frount??

Been every where today had some wicked fun but i deffinatly got flashed but i dont know why!!!

a) i was looking at the camera as it was facing the frount of the bike and it was only facing my sidde of the road!!!

b) pritty sure i wernt speeding by the time i had looked down and read speedo (after auto braking) i was doing 40 in 50 so couldnt have be doing that much.

c) after looking at speedo and up again and thinking DAMB i went ove the white line things on the road??? itsnt that were the piccy suppost to be taken??

d)got mud over numherplate but not enough to obscure letters

bikes raced 2day Gsxr600 & 1300, R6,R1, ducatty 748 (or something), zzr400 and had an aprilla with me for most of the day

if it was facing you then it cant have got a plate since you dont have a front numberplate.

well thats what i though its was DEFNINATLY facing me but thought perhaps it could have been linked to another one to take a piccy of the back???

have been looking at gatso web site and think its one that can be turned around to test speed at different pionts on the road???

if the camera flash was facing you and you saw it go off in front of you? then it would've been flashing the driver on the other side of the road.

yer but i was looking at it because there was a fucking great fence between it and the other side of the road??? which was why i was lookingat it confused in the frist place.

The only way you will know you've been flashed is you'll see the flash in your mirror(s), or if you are doing a Craig Jones and riding your bike sitting backwards.

You pass the camera then it flashes you.

Hi

You should be fine. I think some cameras get a bit confused with bikes sometime. On several occasions I have set the off when well under the speed limit and actually off the marked area. Suspect it is the wheel spokes that confuse them, but that is a guess, or maybe the somewhat less suppressed electrics (when compared to a car)

If its on the other side of the road and there is a divide then it is not set up for the 'other' side of the road. One of the local ones was set up twisted away from the wrong side of the road but they forgot about the adjacent train tracks. They used up tommes of film untill they worked out that the trains were setting it off!!

well, if it flashed from the front, the best they will have is a nice pic of you front the front

Yeah, the fwd facing ones are digital with Infrared. They don;t flash or they'd blind drivers, pudding
I think I got lasered doing 90-odd today by police at the side of the M'way.
Are they usually in vans cuz this was an estate car. Do they have to be outside the vehicle? Can they take a pic or do they have to come get you?

i would guess they can come and get you in thier own sweet time, as they have the police officers and the reading, which I think is enough to convict with, cos all they do when they pull you over is book you and give you details.

talking about police coming to get ya, last night i sore a vfr400 2 up fucking about at like 1:20 in morning and it was like frosty and remark to m8's that its not a bright idea to be doing that!!!!

1 min they come FLYING past the other direction followed by a police car flashing light but no siren!! i mean like at least 80mph do 30 like houseing estate road me thinks some poor ba&&erd woke up the next morning and found his bike missing

mobile van things dont come and get ya they just send u thingy i think sore it on cop program. but again they were only videoing from frount on tv.

well, you do have to use a bit of common sense as to when to go fast

and think about it. 1.20 in the morning, i doubt they are going to use a siren then. the bikes will have known perfectly well they have a police car behind them and that they might want to stop or bugger off even faster

definatly a "bugger off even faster " moment i think as there were proper squids and i could hear em all the way down the carrage way that sorta dubbles back past!

always think would i do that???? especially after talking to police woman (noise complant) and see had a 1.4 astra?? humm but if it was ur bike then as soon as they see the plate theres no point and the risk

if its your plate, then there is no reason to run if they have clearly seen it, cos all they will do is follow safe distance, and let you rack up offences to then book you for

They cant physically stop a bike, so they just have to wait for your tank to run dry. if its not your plate on the bike, you need to loss them
