Hi
im after a ZXR400 and quite frankly im shocked at how much the insurance companey want to rob me of even though i am only 17, it just seems my life gets worse!!!!, just got a couple of quotes for a 1995 ZXR400 with Datatool alarm, imobaliser and oxford monters locks, in a locked garage, 1yrs no claims and they still want £800+!!!!!!!! lowest ive had so far was £565.89so ontop of the purchase price of the ZXR ive got to pay £565+ for insurance, and all this on what i get paid !!!!! (about £200 a month)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FFS why is insurance so expensive, why cant we get rid of insurance and just do what every one does anyway and pay cash instead of losing your NCB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so where have all you guys got your insurance from?

Your 17 mate that's why it's dear.

Carole Nash. £440 FC with 0 NCB. But I'm 30. (Went up £100 since last year though cause of a claim pending Confused )

Also with CN you get breakdown cover, european cover and legal cover.

You're complaining at £565? I think they are doing you a favour with that price.

You wanna look at what you'd be facing to drive a car. You'd be paying £1000+ on a 1.1L Fiesta.

Maybe you should look around at other bikes.

I have had a quote for my gs500e for when i am 17, 1 ncb, garaged ect. for £300 TPTF with carole nash. Less than i currently pay for my 50.

what are you guys getting quotes for, tpft, tpo or fc?

For tpft with bennetts believe it or not on an online quote, i was quoted £507.50. with it garaged, meta alarm and datatagged. 1 years ncb, but mods declared.

look around at better insurance companies. also where you live effects it, im in an A class area.
