My brother and I got monged in Glasgow tonight and got a taxi home.
The driver told us he used to drive a 'Panther Sloper' 650 single with a double side car.
He went on to tell us that him and his wife went to a wedding in Ardrossan and after the wedding they slept in the sidecar.

And we think we're hard? Laughing

Mate of mine rides a solo one.

Truly a MANS motorcycle, from when men were men. The kickstart on them is truly evil and if you are in any way half-arsed about it, it will spit-back and brake your leg for being a poof.

He was clocked by the police through Holyrood park in Edinburgh doing 85mph (40 limit). Comedy conversation ensued:

Do you know what speed you were doing there then?

I have no idea officer, this motorcycle is not equipped with a speedometer.

Riiight.... Well you were doing 85mph, but I can't do you for it because this is a royal park and only the royal parks constabulary can do you here.

Alright, bye then.

Not so fast. Our computer says this registration number is on a BMW 3-series in Glasgow.

Well that's odd, because I've owned this vehicle from new. I have the log book, would you like to see it? produces logbook, issued some thirty years previously in a plastic wallet from the dark recesses of the bike

Right, well I don't know what's goping on there, you'd better contact the DVLA about it.

Turns out that the DVLA has sold his registration number as a personalised plate to someone. They insist he has to get a replacement number, he says not until they give him the £5,000 they sold his for. Last I heard, he had told them to fuck off and there are still two vehicles going about with the same registration number.
