Heard that someone had turned a mini moto road legal with full size indicators and number plate and has been using it.

While i can see the fun of an empty car park or track why would anyone want to use it on the road? Rolling Eyes

Because they're fun, why else do people ride them at all? It's definitely not for a creative commute! Smile

Hi

There was one featured in MCN about a decade or more ago. Biggest thing oin it was the numberplate.

With SVA now I suspect it would be quite difficult to get one legally on the road.

All the best

Slightly off topic but when I worked in Brum there was a guy that used a monkey bike on really bad winter days, the concept of road and pavement mean't nothing to him. Living a bit north now, there is a guy in the village that I see most mornings on a monkey bike, think he is on is way to work.

How much petrol can you get in a mini moto? What sort of distance?

I saw someone go past on one while I was waiting outside the DSA test centre yesterday. No licence plate, helmet, protective gear or anything whatsoever. It raised a smile, as did the knowledge that if any copper saw him, it'd be taken off his hands faster than you could say mini-moto.

(I think he was going around the block from the dealer in Sutton in Ashfield).

i was up at the cat and fiddle in july and a guy came into the car park on a mini-moto. Everyone just sort of looked at each other, raised eyebrows all round. He gave it a lap and then went back off over the hill.
No idea where he came from.
