thats a good idea and unfortunately i haven't tried it, but has anyone done it to themselves?
i've cooked my leg twice, first time was lightly cooking, 2nd time was like flame-grilling it! my skin melted and was trickling down my leg....very tasty,no? Twisted Evil

But as for your version of cooking the bacon, that may have actually worked if you had wrapped it round the endcan.
