and I was wondering if anyone knew any good campsites close to the NEC? preferably very cheap ones. I've never stayed there (in the past I've just been for the day) so I don't know the area, does anyone know if there are places to 'free camp' when you move out of the city a bit?

They're doing free test rides this year (if you're over 21) Very Happy

I'd say one day is enough if you get there early enough, as for camping, in october, are you mad? Shocked

Hi

Camping, not that likely. You would be best off finding someone local to crash at (we are about 40 miles away).

Bike parking is pretty good there, although if you buy lots of stuff you will have problems getting it home.

All the best

Keith

You wouldn't be saying no though! Wink

You'd have some fun with these two (three even! Wink) Very Happy

(EDIT: I meant the bike when I said "three even", not the she-man in the background Wink)

I would just like to point out that when I put in "three even" - I was actually referring to the bike! I hadn't even noticed the bird in the background. I agree with Misc with that one - a bit of a she-man Neutral

Yes.

Preferably scantily clad real women draped over bikes.

Why do you never see that? Is it cos real women have more than three brain cells?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I'll be doing it in one day, thats riding from south east london and the walk around, then the ride home again.

The last couple of years there has been a dry covered bike park.

I'm going up on the last day as you can get better deals and i'm very interested in the test rides they got this year, all depends on what bikes they got.

possibly Smile yeah one day is normally enough for me, but I'm trying to start a motorcycle club at my uni so I thought I might try and make an event out of it....

In the past I always bought tickets before hand..... if you buy them on the door is there any risk of not getting in? is there a big queue for them?

I go every year with my dad, and we've always payed on the day. There are large ticket offices outside the halls, most are open and selling tickets so there's never much of a queue at all.

We've never had trouble getting tickets either. The place does get very crowded and the thing's spaced over 5 or so halls so you can get quite a few people in there.
