Ok, two questions, one is easy, and one is daft Embarassed

Right, I bought my AGV helmet back in September last year from motorcycle city, but in all my cleverness, I didnt keep the box or any of the paperwork. I now have no idea what model it is. Does anyone know any online places I can browse helmets until I see mine?

Secondly, where can I get iridum visor for my AGV from (once i know what model it is Very Happy )

Cheers all

I got an AGV around the same time as you also from MCity, I think I went through the visor shop aswell. Just give them a call decribe the type of helmet it is (paint and that), they should know and recommend what visor you should go for. I got the legal version (dark smoke) as I used to do a lot of night riding but even with these you can't see fuck all out of them at night. I just slip in an insert now and it blacks it out as we are getting a bit of sun!

If you're into buying stuff wait a couple of months and hit the bmf show at Peterborough in May.

There will be shitloads of people selling all kinds of visors and they ususally outdo each other to get the best deal.

It's a bike shop fest with literally hundreds of stalls from the majors like Hein Gericke down to one off shops all desperataely trying to oofload last year's stock. You name it, leathers, lids, exhausts, spare parts owt to do with bikes and it'll be there.

Some of it is perfect but cheap coz it's in last year's colours.

Some of it is seconds and rejects but it is dirt cheap.

I think I paid about £50 for my genuine Shoei Iridium 2 years ago and £300 for the Criville X-Ceed to put it on. Rolling Eyes

I did say it was a genuine Shoei

I think prices are probably coming down as the Iridium coating technology gets better.

I think I paid about £75 for a blue one about 5 years ago.

Yeah you're right, I checked.

Unfortunately for me, their price for a genuine Shoei Iridium is £69.99 + p&p

Trust me you'll get a better deal at the bmf and have a great day or out.

Or stay over in a tent and sample the live entertainment, 24 hr endurance moped racing, stunt shows etc. It's a hoot, I never miss it.. Laughing

I am never buying an iridium visor again. Waste of money, better off just getting black ones. I got an iridium visor for my AGV lid, about 2 days later was going along about 50mph and a bumblebee hit my visor and it's left a big fat scratch, and now the visor looks no where near as good as it did. At least if it had happened to a fully black visor you wouldn't be able to notice it.

that's the price of cool . Cool . it has to be on the outside or I think you lose the iridium effect, try looking at the visor from a way off from the inside - flat colour

my blue one's ok after 5 years

my gold one is chipped and scratched but let's face it no-one can see when you're actually on the bike and that's when you wanna look good

I also have an iridium screen on my bike and that is in a shocking state of chips and scratches if you look up close, the coating is only a few microns thick and relatively soft so it's never gonna last forever, they are probably designed for race use and that means once only, with tear offs.

Black's cool too though, but not quite as much ... err unless it's on a Simpson lid and then it's verrry cool .. but double illegal Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

on my visor I have a hologram sticker so when the sun is glaring at me everone sees bullet hole on my visor which looks "well cool man" its another option than gettig an iridium as I didnt have the option as my helmet is a Bieffe and I can only get black visors which will set me back £50 Shocked "what a c**t" Mad but I'mhappy with what I've got really because so far I havent a single other rider with a hologram!! Very Happy Very Happy
