Private messages!?

I keep getting the little box thing popping up saying I have one but when I click it there is nothing new there. It was doing it before but I could somehow live with it because I just clicked refresh and it appeared. Now it is doing it all the time and even clicking refresh doesnt slove it, it is very confusing. Why is it? and how can I stop it? It is annoying for one because I cant read the message in the first place and for two because I feel ignorant when I cant send a reply. I need computer peoples help. Question

at the top of your screen where it says file edit view etc.

click help and then "about xxx"

it's probably internet explorer but if you click there it'll tell you which version

dunno if it matters tho'

Well it says version 6.0.2800.1106 and a load of other rubbish that would only mean something to some brainy computer wizz. I.e not me. Smile

What does it say on the link next to "Profile" (top bit below the banner ad)...does say "You have no new messages"? or "You have <number> new messages"?

mine says "you have no new messages" even tho I've had 4 or 5 notifications through e-mail that I have them Sad

No because the messages to Mr C were from me and I havent deleted them after I have sent them I didnt know you could do that. Ah well it will sort itself out im sure. I did just get one message but that is after I pressed refresh about 4 times. Question

yes, I have just received three PM notifications in my e-mail and none in my message box when I looked.

Maybe some problem with proxy-web caches... try hitting ctrl-F5 to feresh... probably won't help if it is a web cahce though.
