Husky TE410 urgent help please

I was attempting my first oil change today thinking it would be a piece of piss (and it probably is) except there were 2 allen key bolts of the bottom of the engine that looked like a sump plug... so i guess at the bigger one.

Undid the plug and a bull bearing, a spring and a washer dropped out followed by all the engine oil. I've since been informed this was the wrong plug and is some kind of pressure release plug? All i'm asking is if someone in the know could tell me the correct order that I should replace the:

Washer
bull bearing
spring

The same order that they fell out in (that's if you can remember). If not, sorry I can't help ya mate.

The ball should go in first, then the washer + spring and finally the bolt. The basic idea is they should hold the ball bearing in the drail hole opening when the whole lot is tightened.

Cheers korn, am i ok draining the oil out of here? Will it drain all the oil ok or do i need to piss about with the stupid sized allen key bolt that is in the other drain hole?

It should drain ok like that. Also I don't know if your bike holds the oil in the frame but if it does there's usually another drain plug for that...

After a few people advised me ball bearing then spring I went with that and it ended up locking the gears! I could only select gear 2 and 3. So i undid the plug again and found the spring was rather mangled... oops.

Gave husky a ring and they informed me that it should have been spring then ball bearing and it is some sort of neutral selector (spring pops up into a hole to hold the gears in neutral) So I need a new spring Brick Wall

I don't understand what you did. I've drawn a little diagram of how the pressure plug I was talking about should look (see attached), but even if you put it back together in the wrong order none of its parts can interfere with the gearbox - it's self contained inside its housing! Eh?

It sounds like you were working on something else entirely!
