Word of advise...... Dont fit it ! IMO
I've still got my cbr125 and bought the same alarm, and found that if i didnt use the bike every two or three days it would flatten the battery.
If you do fit it get yourself an optimiser (charger) and charge the battery up evey now and again.
Also this cold weather will play havoc with such a small battery.
If you want to fit it, Take off the seat.
Ground (black or brown, cant remember) can go to where the coolent tank bolt is on the left hand side of the bike.(Or maybe another better bolt will do as long as its in to the frame)
Red (live) to battery.
Tilt switch thingy can go nicely above the screw to hold the seat on.(stick it on with electrial tape, just incase you need to remove it latter on )
Diode can go nicely on the little "v" piece above the light ( but bear in mind this might drain the battery when on)
wires to make the indicators flash (Yellow if i can remember), cant remember which colour they go to on the idicators sorry !
Also if the alarm is the one with the imboliser, maybe not to fit that bit for a month or two and see what the battery is like ?
As i had the alarm on the cbr125r for 3/4 months till i ripped it out, maybe it was just a bad ground point on my bike ?
Oh wiring diagram is in the back of the owners manual !, just noticed now
Any problems just pm me ____________________ Ducati 916,white framed corse replica https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=239309

i too had a cbr125 and the pesky little battery will not take an alarm at all, unless your throttling it every 5 mins to keep the battery charged
my battery used to go dead in no time at all, mostly when i was inexperienced and dint know how to start the bike so used to press the started with no choke and wonder why it dint start up, 5 mins later, hey presto flat battery
if your after alarming your bike try using a self contained motion sensor placed under the seat, cost a lot but they run on their own batteries which are re-chargable. |

Hiya,
This is my first post (resurrecting an old thread too)!
Just wondering if anyone has a scanned version of the wiring diagram for the CBR125 (or at least the part with headlight wiring on!)?
I'm desperately trying to get the knacked-up bike I bought to a rideable state, but some plank massacred the wiring at the front. Any help much appreciated!
Cheers |
