Need to log in twice?

Every time I use the login boxes on the main page, I need to effectively log in twice...the first time I log in, my name appears in the "online" list, but on my side, I'm still logged out...so I log in again...but this means that I still appear to be logged in on the forum after I have logged out! (can't logout twice, see....)

Using Firefox and XP. Admittedly have been too lazy to see if the same problem exists in IE.

I used to have the problem in IE, changed to Firefox and no longer have it....

Guess it's just that you haven't logged in for so long the forum can't believe it's you and needs confirmation
