Maybe a stupid post. But idea kinda stolen from another forum, thought about posting this before but never done it.

Who is the fastest/quickest BCF member you have riden with?

Just wondering? What bike were they on, conditions and road? Or maybe even on the track?

1. So far I have valver (Dave) top of my list. Rode with this guy twice, wet and dry. On an old clapped out FZR 600 (E reg, dodgy shock and brakes! Shocked ) Still went like the clappers, this guy can ride abit IMO.

2. Also, Banditshigh, for an old guy ( Laughing Laughing Thumbs Up ) on a big GSX1400 he sure knows how to make that thing shift! Very good, experienced rider.

3. And 1 other mention to Wishaykille, we've both been riding for about the same time but he can't half make his Daytona move, huge lean angles and a confident rider to boot Thumbs Up

Thats my votes in.

I somehow except G to get a few mentions.

I've only ridden on the road with Jay1234567890 etc Laughing And he had been awake for abour 48 hours after a Glastonbury weekend.

It was more a case of following him home and keeping him awake/alive rather than a cross-country thrash...

I've seen a few on track though, and yes, G gets my vote.

Although Korn wasn't hanging around when I saw him on track either.

McJam was obviously trying hard, as he put his bike down... Wink

Yeah, agree with Colin, Dave (Valver) can fecking shift a bit!!! Shocked

But then more experience/knowledge of roads helped a lot on the particular run I was on.

Other Dave (ProXimaCore) could get his GSXR-400 flying - he'd probably beat most of us on 600's - I shit you not. Just ask Ritchie (True Blue). Obviously the 600's pull away slightly on the straights, but up this way it's all twisties and Dave could piss over anything on the 400 Thumbs Up One of the best riders I've ever ridden with, IMO. Colin, it's a shame you never got to ride with Dave, he'd show you what a 'wee' bike could do!!! Laughing

On the tracks it's G, though Korn's up there as well. Seen Dusty giving Korn a bit of hassle so I think given a similar amount of practice he'd be up the pointy end too.

Dark horse award goes to Jon, sodding off into the distance on his first trackday but haven't seen him since. But he's doing Lydden this weekend with us so we shall see.

On the road it's a similar case... I remember following G on his bloody DR600 with a pillion and thinking "thank feck, I'll be able to keep up for a change" and could I bollocks. Rolling Eyes Korn's a bit harder to judge on the road cos if you're actually riding together he'll wait for you, entertaining himself with wheelies.

Honorable mention goes to Cliff for keeping up with several mostly-600cc rideouts on his little H100. Pure conservation of momentum and refusal to brake. Cool

Good topic. Thumbs Up

I've only ridden with Suzuki, but it was only for a short stretch down the M42 while we were being escorted 'safety car' style by the police after a cow-on-road incident Shocked Laughing

I've never been on BCF rideouts. But from watching G at a bemsee meet he can shift.

Korn doesn't hang about in fast group. Bendy surprised me. Jay can wallop his 'soft as shit commuter' around faster than you'd guess.

Jon-b did well at his first trackday. First couple of laps he wasn't far behind me on the R6.

I havnt ridden with anyone on here except kickstart and he was faster than me, but polite enough to hold back a little when he was losing me. We were both on rs125's in case someone thinks i was giving chase on my scooter Smile

On a minimoto track fast yan was seriously quick yet hadnt done minimoto before. Apparently experience on an sp1 or sp2 (i forget which) doing trackdays is useful experience for minimoto.

Not claiming to be even near the fastest ... don't want to be ... just want to enjoy myself ... but, I will pick up on a few points ....

Left him and Simon trailing the night we went camping ... that's when I had stopped with Liam at the reservoir ... then we were trying to catch up with you lot ... mind you I was pushing it a bit Twisted Evil

But he couldn't get away from an old Kwak GT550 with teflon coated tyres and supposed suspension/brakes ... was quite chuffed when he said that I was the only person who'd ever kept up with him on the 400.

What a crackin run that was Smile

If you think I fling the 14 about ... my 1200 bandit is even better ... one of these days I'll get it back on the road!!!!

Take care ... Barry (aka the old un)

Cheers, but I also crash alot more than you so thats not so good eh!?! Embarassed Laughing

Dunno about the quick bike, many more quick bikes than me Ninja...

Barry, 3 blinking posts!!! Fair play to you, you can't have make that bike shift. Just that last stay over at valvers, he was so quick around the twisties, I suppose knowing the road helps but he was quick! Shocked

Barry, that guy on the Gixxer 400 is Grodon, there was another guy on these forums that also had a GSXR4, I never rode with him (proximacore). My mate Gordon on the other hand is more....um..stupid and crazy than he is quick!
