i have!

some bloke i know in a set up shop done it 4 me & its just changed round so u click UP 2 go in 2 1st gear & click DOWN 4 the remaining 5 its better as ur pushing down on most of ur gears which is easier & better & especialy if ur doing a left turn & u wanna click up (ur foot doesnt have 2 go under which cud touch ground) also u dont accidently slip in2 Neutural coz its more pressure on the click pushing down

just wondered if any1 else has this?

It's simple to do on the rs50, requires the left hand fairing removed and a 5mm allen key. Just turn the bit the connects the rod to the shaft upside down.

Might try it one day to see what its like.

I think ZXR400er has this done or has had it done before! isnt too hard, just involves moving the selector rod I think!

Some rearsets have the option to do it as standard. The Gilles ones my better half has bought me for Xmas can be reversed.

Never seen it done myself, or ridden one set up like that, but I suppose it would be confusing to start with and then you would adapt like anything else Thumbs Up

I had it on both my GSXR & ZX6R. I prefer it that way, not sure why.

Also means when leaning hard on the left you can change up without touching the road. Very Happy

My bike has a strange gear box;

basically 5 down.

Took me a while to get used to doing it without thinking, but it's really nice to use (you can clutchless shift from 1st to 2nd without worrying about hitting neutral Very Happy).

I've got the option to have it on the r6, basically just a different gear linkage rod.

However, I don't want to risk using it, just need to forget on one gear change and it can all go /very/ nasty if the engine's at high revs and you knock it down.

I had this done to my vfr race bike, not sure how much it cost because it was paid for by a friend.
It's hard to remember for a while, but you get used to it, it's even harder to get back on the zx6 and remember the right way.

Isn't that how it is on the honda cub 50/70/90? Wink

Does seem more logical.. old brit bikes gear selectors were on the right and the brake on the left... now that would be confuseing! Eh?

Don't do it. Anyone with any sense will think you an idiot when you boast to them about it Karma Just comes accross as the kind of thing done by wankers who spend more time telling tall tales and buying useless crap for their bikes than actually riding them.

But if you are genuinely having problems doing up-changes whilst cornering due to having the bike leant over too far, then by all means go ahead Rolling Eyes

its easy to do on a zxr400 its just a case of taking of the gear link at the engine side and flipping it 180. not to sure if it hits on anything as i had all the faring and other bits off at the time. But it is weird to ride with.

It's not that bad. I used to swap between my AJS and the GPZ with no problems.
