I went down to halfords to get gear oil and they got 2 types of castrol and their own one 10W 40 BTW:

GP £16.00 4 Litre

GPS- Think the S means semi synthetic £16 2 Litre

Halfords own semi synthetic £13 4 Litre

I've used halfords own full synthetic 2 stroke and the bike ran good, but what should i put in my 400 bros. Has anyone used halfords own? im guessing its a copy of the brand names just own brand. Or should i go with castrol? Anyone used these?

ta guys

The halfords semi-synthetic will be fine. The Bros runs in a very low state of tune so I wouldn't bother with expensive oil as long as you change it regularly. Make you sure you do a filter change whilst you're at it if you haven't done one since you've owned the bike.
