i know what ya mean about cursing loudly, i'll be shouting loudly (not sure at who, probably myself) but then feel that "shoulda woulda coulda" seems appropriate and keep riding to enjoy it.

Last week riding slowly up a road, lady pulls out of the car park (it's on the LHS of the road) and didnt even look. Basically the road is a dead end and the entrance/exit to a big car park is about 100m from the end, still no excuse for not checking.

Aside from actually getting knocked off, the only 1 that sticks out was when a builders lorry decided to reverse onto the mian road and i had to brake like hell and did a small stoppie- i bumped me helmet on the side of the truck and sat back down. Lucky me! Cool

Brushed my knee/thigh against the front wing of a car I was cutting up after completely misjudging an overtake and running out of room.

Completely my fault, completely peed of the cage drivers, riding like a complete dickhead!

I was young(er) and inexperienced and thought I was a riding god, coming off tends to persuade you otherwise Embarassed

A guy pulled a U turn from the opposite side of the road straight infront of me, I locked the front up the bike tucked under dropping to the left. I released the brake, the bike swerved to the left avoiding the guys front bumper. Absolutley shat myself pulled to the side of the road for half a minute then continued on my way.
Wasn't pissed off with the guy, I was speeding so kinda view it as part my fault.

Very.
Although, thankfully, I stayed on the bike.

April of this year, I was waiting in a set of red traffic lights. A car drove up behind me doing 30 (I didn't know it but the driver had his head down lighting a fag) Shocked
Next thing I knew the back of my bike was up on his bonnet, and then I was down again..swerving all over, then up on the pavement.

I stayed sat on the bike Shocked
ha
The little pri*k then said the usual "I am sorry, I didn't see you" shi*
(Yes, he really said that)

Bike was a bit screwed up at the back, but fixable.
I was in tatters for a while, and got some comp as my trapeziums were a bit gnarled.

Got the back of the bike "rubbed" last week by a girl in an AX. She hit the back of me ever so slightly (didn't feel a thing) and folded my rear mudguard onto the rear wheel where it rolled tightly up on the tyre as I moved off. I heard a weird noise from the rear (thought the tatty exhaust had bitten the dust finally) and pulled in to check what was up. She came rushing over out of her car in a panic, I was bemused as to what had happened and sent her on her way...

Only then did I notice the folded plastic (which popped out a treat) and the curved groove melted out of the reflector by my tire...

Could've been worse I guess. 2 days before I put the back end out whilst braking too hard and turning left on a damp road. Less of the back brake in the future. Mind you, rear end slides are a dddl to control, I'm used to thm from BMX and Mountain Biking...

K.

I must do something to get nearly knocked off everyday I use the bike or so it would appear.
I just get more cunning.
But going too fast must have something to do with it or Newton was all wrong. Laughing

Hmm, sunday.

Long, straight country road, stopped in a lay-by and waited for the traffic I was sitting behind to get a headstart and was keeping a keen eye behind me. As soon as the car behind me got into sight, I would leave the lay-by as to enjoy the lovely bends that lay ahead without being stuck behind cars.

Unfortunately, I neglected to look ahead and there was a car overtaking. Cue locked wheels, smoke and the woman nearly binned it into a ditch. Think it was a vectra

Both of our faults. Particularly mine in my eyes. F*cking idiot me.
