can anyone tell me how many teeth are on the NSR 125 rear sprocket and would anyone suggest that I change down a few teeth to top up my 0-60 or vise-versa???? i need to get a new sprocket anyway and so thought i would try and give the bike a bit more umphh as it has been slow as hell since carnells fixed my jammed up gears!

cheers

36 rear I believe

you know you'll lose top end if you add teeth, and lose acceleration if you subtract teeth i spose?

Yeah if you add teeth it will increase acceleration but decrease your top end, it will have the reverse effect if you remove teeth.

any ideas as to why my de-restricted NSR can only do 80mph tops and a 0-60 in about 10-12 sec's..? this is since all my gears jammed up and i took it back to carnells where they "fixed" the gears and ever since its been poo!??? Mad

OK fair enough, your little Honda's edge the Aprilia on the reliability stake but treat them properly & there fine. If you can name me 5 (decent)reasons why the nsr is better than the RS125, I'll buy you a drink Laughing

1.DOES NOT LOOK BETTER!!!

2.Maybe a bit

3.Definately does not handle better, the RS125 is renowned for its superb handling

4.Top class brakes on the RS, definatley not inferior to the NSR

5.More reliable engine maybe, but not as exciting & what are bikes all about?

Like I said all NSR riders have small willies

Why argue over anything over anything thats not really based on anything.
its just your opinions, af your own bikes.

Newbie has an RS125, i Have an NSR125.

in the summer i'm sure where have a bit of a blast round some twistys and starights.

and then all it comes down to is the rider.
or how nuts and unforgiving they are.

Shocked
1) the CBR looks of the NSR rip the piss out of the plastic spastic looks of the poof RS 125!

2) Suspension is much better cus RS125 drivers are fat

3) iv owned both the RS and the NSR and I KNOW the NSR is ten times better then when it comes to handleing, apart from at low speed because the RS obviousley wasnt designed for high speeds!

4) who needs brakes on an RS when it is sooo slow.... just put ya flippin feet on the floor

5) when you finally reach the so called power band on the RS you have to change gear straight away otherwise you sound like a wasp caught in a hair dryer!

Wink

Maybe this shouldn't be in the general chat any more.
think fights and flame wars might be right now. lol

like i said before. it depends on your experience with the bike and your own opinion of it.
