Sounds like a fuse or something if there is one for the HT lead?!?!?! If not it might be the actual starter button, have you tried bumping it?

i havent tried bumping it, i figured if i had no spark to start, i would have no spark to run. i changed the starter switch made no difference!!..... but i have looked at the whole loom and i can only find one fuse, the main one, and its fine.

I am getting close to admitting defeat!!!!! Crying or Very sad

Hi

Probably is the cdi unit, or possibly a break in the wiring. Would need to sit down and look at the wiring loom

All the best

Keith

Hi

The cdi unit is behind the l/h frame rail, just in front of the ignition coil

I would hope it isnt the cdi unit. Check out the wiring first, such as the kill switch and ignition switch circuits

All the best

Keith

hi keith, cheers mate...

i have triple checked the ignition (as i had that play up on my other nsr), and i have changed the kill switch and also bypassed the kill switch, still no go!!

I have unwrapped almost the entire wiring loom and checked it ......

I was hoping maybe there was a common fault on the nsr's that might explain it.. but it seems not.... so i am gonna have to get a manual and just work right from scratch!.........

Well thanks everyone for ya help.......

Danny...
