Could you please do me a favour and check out https://www.waveshack.co.uk -- it's a new chat site with chat rooms, picture profiles (so you can see who you're talking to), forums and more. It was created by me and some Uni friends and we would like to know what you think of it.

Seeing that you asked, it looks like just another amatuer php-nuke effort made by someone that wants to have a forum for the sake of it.
This impression is increased by the way you have advertised it here.

Your chat app doesn't work for me.
Looked in your profiles page, I think it was, the tables were messed up, so that under 'sex' was a number (the person's age, I presume) - amused me for a little under a second.

The fact that a load of your users live in afghanistan would to me suggest that you've put a load of fake people in and forgotten to change all the settings.

The default country value is set to afghanistan at the moment, some users are not changing it.

I'll take a look at the other things you mentioned and do what I can.
