Go to the DVLA website, check out the legal number plates section. Having a hinge or similar is not legal on your numberplate
I have however seen devices that flip the whole entire plate and lay it flat, i.e. horizontal with the undertray. This was a simple device rigged up with a choke cable off a Mk2 mini  ____________________ A big enough hammer fixes anything! |

i have seen one of these its like a little braket that works like your brake. you hit the switch and it pulls on the wire and flips the plate......i would get one if i new where the sold them  ____________________ .......... PLOD ............ zx636 2004 |
