ym step grandad is round and he's a bike mechanic \o/. he says tomorrow we can do anything to the bike that you want in an attempt to fix it! ive thought of; clean carbs, change oil and fix filter problem( he looked at it and told me the seal has gone hard and not working properly) but i cant think of anything else?! would be a shame if we couldnt get the nightmare up to scratch.

a fresh bit of HT lead is always nice on an import. i think the salt air on the way over affects HT leads a bit more or summat.

properly gapped plug, clean airfilter. If you feel really enthusiatic you could lube up the monoshock linkages and change the fork oil.

wanna lend him to me?

Hi

I would go with Rob and say do the rear suspension linkages, plus maybe the fork oil and check the steering head bearings

All the best

Keith
